Vodafone India has sought Foreign Investment Promotion Board approval to acquire TRG Capital-owned YOU Broadband for around Rs 4 billion. Rothschild and ICICI Securities are serving as investment bankers for the transaction to Vodafone and YOU Broadband respectively. YOU Broadband India has a 3,000 km optic fibre cable network and 6,000 km of last mile cables to homes across 12 cities.
