RCOM plans to upgrade CDMA subscribers to 4G network from May 2016

RCOM is planning to upgrade its CDMA customers to the 4G network in a phased manner from May 2016. To this end, RCOM will leverage the spectrum sharing and trading agreement it had signed with Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) in January 2016. As per the agreement, RCOM will trade its CDMA spectrum in nine service areas where RJIL does not have spectrum in the 800 MHz band. Meanwhile, the two operators will share spectrum in 17 circles.
