Indore-Mhow section Gauge Conversion Project to be operationalised soon

The Indore-Mhow section of the Ratlam-Mhow-Khandwa-Akola Gauge Conversion Project is expected to be operational soon. A clearance certificate has been received from the Commissioner of Rail Safety to allow commencement of operations on the stretch. The project involves the conversion of the existing 472.64 km long metre gauge line between Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh and Akola in Maharashtra into a broad gauge railway line at an investment of Rs 14.21 billion.
