Air India launched a non-stop thrice-a-week flight from New Delhi to Vienna on April 6, 2016. The airline has deployed B787 on the route and may enhance the frequency to five times a week in the future. It is also carrying out a feasibility study on two new routes – New Delhi to Barcelona and Madrid. Meanwhile, Air India signed an agreement for leasing 14 A320neo aircraft with the Kuwait-based Aviation Lease and Finance Company. Aircraft delivery is likely to start from early 2017.
