Uttar Pradesh to prepare a plan to auction tolling rights

The Uttar Pradesh government is in the process of preparing a plan to auction tolling rights to meet funding requirements for under-construction and upcoming road projects. Currently, construction work on the Agra-Lucknow expressway is underway, while that of the 348 km Lucknow-Ballia expressway project is at an advanced stage of award. Private players will have to pay the entire project amount in advance for the toll period of 10-15 years.
