Delhi airport launches DIAL Cargo application

A new technology, Document Exchange Kiosks, will soon be operational at the international terminal (T3) of the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA). The technology will enable passengers to flash their ticket’s barcode at a kiosk to get the boarding pass. The new system has been under trial at Terminal 1D of IGIA for the past few months. Meanwhile, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has launched a mobile application, DIAL Cargo, which will enable air cargo transactions using mobile phones, thus reducing paperwork. The application, which is already operational, provides authorised access to operators, customs officials, customs house agents, airlines and freight forwarders, among others.
