Bharti Airtel has announced the roll-out of LTE-Advanced services in Kerala, becoming the first operator to commercially launch these services. Airtel has partnered with Nokia Networks to use the latter’s carrier aggregation technology across time division duplex LTE (2300 MHz band) and frequency division duplex LTE (1800 MHz band) networks in Kerala. This has enabled the operator to deliver data speeds of up to 135 Mbps. Meanwhile, Airtel has launched 4G services in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, and Jharsuguda, Odisha.
