Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) has commissioned the second 500 MW unit at the Anpara-D thermal power plant (TPP) at Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. The plant now stands fully commissioned. Notably, this is the first project to be set up on an abandoned ash pond.
