The new international terminal (Terminal 3) of the Cochin International Airport has been inaugurated. It will be fully operational by May 2016. Developed at a cost of Rs 10 billion, the terminal has a peak-hour passenger handling capacity of 4,000. The existing international terminal will be converted into a domestic terminal.
