NCRPB approves Rs 30 billion loan to support transport infrastructure projects

The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) has approved loan assistance of about Rs 30 billion to support nine transport infrastructure projects in Noida, Ghaziabad and the state of Haryana. While two projects in Uttar Pradesh will received an assistance of Rs 22.87 billion, seven projects in Haryana will get an assistance of Rs 7.26 billion. The projects include the development of a 10.3 km six-lane elevated road between the Uttar Pradesh Gate and Rajnagar Extension in Ghaziabad. This project would be developed by the Ghaziabad Development Authority which will receive a loan of Rs 7 billion. The Noida-Greater Noida metro project in Uttar Pradesh has also secured assistance from the NCRPB. In Haryana, the NCRPB will partially fund the Manesar-Palwal expressway.
