MoRTH reports construction of 18 km of national highway per day

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has reported a construction rate of 18 km of national highways per day and is aiming to increase this to 30 km per day by end-March 2016. It has a long-term construction target of 100 km per day. The ultimate aim is to expand the national highway network to over 150,000 km, from the current 97,000 km. According to the MoRTH, the majority of the work on the Delhi-Jaipur highway has been completed and the rest will be completed soon.
