JICA to provide loans worth Rs 4 billion for two road projects in Mizoram and Meghalaya

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has agreed to extend loans worth Rs 4 billion for implementation of the Shiradi Aizawl-Tuipang two-laning road project (National Highway [NH]-54) and Tura-Dalu two-laning road project (NH-62) in Mizoram and Meghalaya respectively. The approval for the loan assistance was received from JICA in mid-December 2015. National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited will be implementing the Aizawl-Tuipang two-laning road project at a cost of Rs 34.28 billion and the Tura-Dalu two-laning road project at a cost of Rs 2.97 billion.
