TRAI to conduct QoS drive tests across seven cities

TRAI is conducting drive tests across seven cities to ascertain if the quality of service has improved, as claimed by operators and the government. These cities are Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Kolkata, Pune, Bhubaneswar and Indore. The tests, which were initiated on December 21, 2015, were scheduled to carry on till January 8, 2016. According to the MoCIT, telecom operators have put up a total of 29,000 new telecom towers in the past few months, which has resulted in improved quality of service.
