Survey completed for Chardham Rail Connectivity Project

The preliminary survey for the Chardham Rail Connectivity Project has been completed. The Ministry of Railways (MoR) has now undertaken the traffic survey to assess the project viability. The project involves development of 327.11 km of new rail lines providing connectivity to the Chardham at an investment of Rs 432.92 billion. The rail line will pass through Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath via Dehradun and Karanprayag in the state of Uttarakhand.
