Sterlite Grid commissions RAPP linked transmission project

 

Sterlite Grid Limited (SGL) has commissioned a transmission project linked to the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (RAPP). The RAPP transmission project, comprising a 200 km, 400 kV double-circuit transmission line is the first transmission project to earn tariff from the date of actual commissioning ahead of schedule, under the government’s scheme to incentivise early commissioning of transmission projects. In a separate development, SGL has secured the Common Transmission System for Phase II Generation Projects in Odisha and Immediate Evacuation System for Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited’s  power project in Odisha quoting an annual tariff of Rs 1.4 billion.

Bids for the Rs 15 million project entailing construction of the 350 km long, 765 kV Jharsuguda (Sundargarh)-Raipur Pool double-circuit transmission line and the 50 km long, 400 kV OPGC-Jharsuguda (Sundargarh) double-circuit transmission line were invited by PFC Consulting Limited.
