Capital dredging work begins at Mormugao port

The capital dredging work of the navigational channel of the cruise berth at Mormugao port commenced on January 1, 2016. On the completion of dredging, the navigational channel will have a draught of 19.5 metres and will be able to handle vessels of 185,000 tonnes. At present, the port can only accommodate vessels of up to 80,000 tonnes.
